Why we created the most important preseason football event in the country?

For years, college and high school football coaches and high school athletes and their parents grinded through the recruiting process complaining about how ineffectiveness of college football recruiting. Many athletes complain that the typical 3-hour free combine that provides tee shirts to 500 athletes lacks any serious evaluation and simply is aimed at blowing up 4 and 5 star athletes. At the other side of the spectrum, most college coaches are not very responsive to the thousands of emails they receive from companies, charging athletes $1,200 - $1,500 to get them a scholarship.

After meeting with hundreds of coaches in the college football community, there is a huge demand for a new national combine system that provides objective, deeper and more accurate athlete data and evaluations executed by an experienced, national and credible group.

With the signing day moving up to December, top colleges are looking for the most meaningful data against the December Signing Day. Our goal is simple – obtain the most meaningful athlete data through world-class testing and provide the most comprehensive evaluation to colleges like never before. This makes for the most efficient recruiting world.

Who's hosting this event?

The National Preseason Combine was created by the biggest promoters in sports. The founders created the U.S. Army All-American Bowl (NBC) and the U.S. Army National Underclassman Combine, the Aflac All-American Baseball Game (Fox Sports) and the McDonald’s All-American Basketball Game (ESPN).

This dynamic group of promoters sold their interests in those events to reimagine football and create the nation’s biggest football showcase using the latest technology in partnership with nation’s top college scouts, sports scientists and former NFL front office executives. We created something better for athletes, parents and college coaches.

Overseeing the two-day on-field testing is Ray Farmer, former General Manager of the Cleveland Browns. A Duke graduate, former NFL athlete, front office executive and father of a 9th grader wide-receiver, Ray has a deep understanding and passion for athlete development.

Along with Ray, National Preps personnel Donnie Zimmerman (National Preps CEO), Todd Haldis (Northeast Scouting Director), and Clint Cosgrove (Midwest Scouting Director) will also be attendance.
